I’ve just discovered that the Martin Kershaw Quartet will be playing at the Griffin on the corner of Bath Street and Elmbank Street tomorrow night, Thursday 10th November.

He’ll be performing music from his new album, The Howness, with the band which played on it: Paul Harrison, Euan Burton and Doug Hough.

Bill Kyle points out in his email announcing the gig that

This is an unsubsidised event put on by the musicians themselves, it’s not a Bridge Music gig (there is still no progress with “Creative” Scotland on securing funding for more jazz in Glasgow). All gig expenses (and the musicians!) have to be paid from the door money, so please get in there and/or spread the word to support it.

Doors open about 8pm with the music starting around 8.30pm. Tickets are £6 with £5 concessions.
