Leo Blanco has had to withdraw from tonight’s concert at the Strathclyde Suite due to unspecified “personal circumstances”. The show is still going ahead though, with co-headliners Keltic Tales now being joined by a couple of Breton musicians.

If you’ve already booked a ticket, the organisers will have contacted you. Full text of the email from Celtic Connections:

Leo Blanco and Keltic Tales

Sunday 16th January, 8pm

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Strathclyde Suite

Please note that unfortunately due to personal circumstances, Leo Blanco can no longer appear at this event. Instead we would like to offer you an intimate evening of Breton music featuring Keltic Tales supported by Brittany guitarist Soïg Siberil and bouzouki player Jamie McMenemy (of renowned Breton folk group Kornog) who mix Scottish and Breton musical traditions with dazzling results.

Your tickets are valid for this new performance but should you wish to talk to someone regarding your booking, then please don’t hesitate to contact a member of our box office team on 0141 353 8000.

It still sounds like a good concert, but I was really looking forward to hearing Blanco again. I hope that whatever his problems are, they aren’t too serious and that we see him in Glasgow before long.
